Description
This project was part of a workshop organized by my Bachelor's studio. The task was to design a refugee shelter in Africa using local materials and traditional building techniques. For three months, we collaborated remotely with architecture students from the University of Hawassa in Ethiopia — working from Switzerland while staying in contact through regular calls and online meetings. At the end of this phase, we all met in Ethiopia to build the shelter together in just two weeks.
This project holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first one I saw fully realized. It gave me valuable insight into construction processes, cultural exchange, and teamwork. It was a truly unforgettable and meaningful experience, both personally and professionally.
